Indeed, I have done just that and for some reason recently have been doing this even more so. It truly is fascinating to look up into the dark sky and watch how "things" appear, and disappear... and how some stars are more vivid than others. Those unanswered and mysterious questions always keep me guessing and never truly satisfied with the "not knowing" part. I'm so glad you presented this... a wonderful thing to ponder...

''and just look at the stars and wonder if we are alone in the Universe?'' kbrog: HELLO! .... SUPER shot/scene!! .... TallPockets has OFTEN 'wondered' about MANY things in this CRAZY thing we call OUR WORLD .... SOME of his 'wonderings' make even HIM "WONDER" .... SMILES.

OHH! This reminds me of a time when my youngest son was 13-14 years old and we had vacation in this house. Often there were nights when the sky was clear and full of stars and the weather was calm and wonderful. Then we were lying outside in our sun chairs and my son on a thick blanket on the lawn with his duvet and his pillow and we were enjoying all the stars for hours. It happened that my son fell to sleep and we let him stay on the lawn as he was all night. The dog, at that time a cocker Spaniel, was lying by his side taking care of him. It was a good time. Thanks for making me recall these memories :) Its a beautiful shot, Kim.
