Description

after the snow and heavy rains, we experience a touch of high water. this is what greeted me today as I rode to work. I did stop and take a few shots and then proceded to go the long way around to work. IF the rains subside a touch for a few days, then I should be able to ride through the shortcut once again - however....the weatherman says no!

Love the ambiance in this picture Mike but the reality is different. I wouldn't be surprised that soon, especially if you guys continue to get hit by wet snow, or freezing rain this will soon become something you could do without.

It's lovely! Maybe you could build a little raft and open a ferry to get folks from one side to the other?

This is an amazing shot, Mike. Your saturation, colors and ambience are stunning and besides that it's just a very cool picture. Well, hope your weatherman is wrong. Snow, etc. gets old real fast.

Beautiful capture. Everything in this world is temporary. Bad situations change to good. Good situations change to bad. Such is life. Best wishes for you, especially until you get your shortcut back.

WOW! Really nice photo with the reflections of the trees. It looks like they are growing from themselves. And where's the bridge? No way I'd try even walking with high boots - one doesn't see where the edge is! And even if one makes it across, where's the path? It may be so water logged one would sink like in quick sand. Looking again, this could be a photo of a wild swamp. Very nice photo. Keep up the good work! :-) PS - thanks for comments on my posts.
