Description
I had a few things working against me on taking photos of the protest. 1) the weather-rain,cold 2)camera lens fogging up and 3)not knowing when a flash point would occur. This was one just popped up and I just started clicking not knowing what I had captured as I was looking for safe corner.
San Francisco – On January 20, 2012 (J20), thousands of San Francisco Bay Area residents occupied San Francisco’s Financial District as part of the Occupy Wall St West actions to demand that banks end predatory evictions and foreclosures and that corporations lose the rights of personhood. Protestors targeted banks and corporations that have damaged Bay Area communities, homes, education, environment, livelihood, and democracy.

Look's like someone does not want you taking photo's or is he just being friendly in a policeman sort of way ? I would not bank on it!

Great topical action shot. I think the Occupy movement has succeeded in bringing public awareness to the issue of income inequality. Whether any major changes happen as a result remains to be seen...

A very powerful image, Costa. You did amazingly well for the conditions you were shooting under.

People can't afford to buy a house, yet finagle some deal they can't honor. Banks are encouraged to make loans they know will end in default and being banks, they have only their own interests at heart. Hmmmm. sounds like stupid all round. The solution is simple: don't buy stuff you can't afford.
