Description

I painted this image to show god word. I did put two verse together here. i here preachers do it all the time as they are talking about God word to us. I put Isaiah 41:14-16 and Ezekiel 2:8-10 together. In Isaiah it say 14Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel. 15Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff. 16Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shalt rejoice in the LORD, and shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel. In Ezekiel 2: 8-10 8 But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee. 9 And when I looked , behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein; 10 And he spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe. i used the KJV as there is no copy right on it. anyway I put the hand of God in the air and the book [scroll] that have the writing on it and as it going into the mouth of the worm it is turn into honey. in Isaiah it called Jacob a worm. I heard someone say they feel so low that they had to look up at the bottom of the hole they fall into. The only way you can do that is been a worm that eat dirt. The word say that God is is going to put a instrument having teeth on it so you can thresh the mountains which is problems in life and the winds will blow it away from you. in Ezekiel the prophet God gives him a book to eat and it will taste as sweet as honey. He speak to the house of Israel about a lot of things. like rebellious and many things. worth to read the whole book. He saw a lot too. so if you missed church here it is. the sky I painted as i saw it in Mexico. They was so lovely ; plus it reminds me of the Blood of Jesus. oh the size is 8x10 a very small painting

going to church is great for most... I however have had a minister in my life as a child scream to the people in the church - "You're going to Hell" = repeatedly = so much so that my brothers and sisters talked to my Mom and stopped going to church.... Ministers interpret what they read - you ever hear to preists argue over what they read? I have... The only thing I got from your readings is isreal is holy... well, couldn't tell ya, haven't been there... but, I have heard a lot of bad things have happened over there and I thank my Lord for choosing for me to live where I am. The other thing I got is there is some instrument with teeth to thresh the mountains - lol... come now, what does that mean to you? I love the Mountains - they are where I find my peace, I don't go there to thresh.... and last, I don't have any honey in the house and now I find myself craving it - lol... your style painting is like that of Van Gogh - learn from him - just don't cut your ear off - lol

Fantastic painting! Never been to Mexico but been down to the border, a blood red sky seems very appropriate. Using the KJV was good idea not only because it isn't copyrighted, the language used is much more beautiful than those horrible "modern scholarly translations made so that modern Americans can understand the Bible 'cuz they ain't smart enough to understand 17th century English". Style is just as important as substance. If they don't like your style, they ain't gonna like your message no matter what it may be.

I love your painting, Jocko! I think, God, let someone read the Bible. I mean God, every man in his feelings and thoughts, shows how anyone can interpret what God intended for that very personal reader, who wants to find the meaning of God's word. I like to know that there are people who want to understand God. And God involved in their daily lives, and know that God wants to maintain a loving relationship with him. I notice you do this, and that's what I appreciate so much, that I can not express how much.
