Photo taken at Tirimbina in Costa Rica. Hope you won't have nightmares over this one :-) The snake is a Hognose Viper (Porthidium Nasutum), which are very common in this National Wildlife Refuge. I will post a closeup of the spider so you may help with identification. Comments are appreciated!

very easy to see it is a pit viper. I knew that from the detail in this. wasn't sure about the type since it isn't one I see here. Really nice capture.
