Description

...Tara and I do leave the house once in awhile without cameras. But usually only when it is raining:) ...today we had a little time to kill, the sun was out and we wound up at the edge of Puget Sound without cameras. ...therefore this photo is not from my Olympus DSLR...it is from my Iphone. ........................................ "The important thing is not the camera but the eye." - Alfred Eisenstaedt ........................................ ...did you know there are now websites and blogs that feature only photos taken through the lenses of Iphones? If you are interested, here's a Flickr Group with some excellent results". ...BTW, I am not selling Iphones:) ...there are lots of cell phones out there that take very good pictures, but an Iphone is what I have to substitute for my camera. Oh, and once in awhile I even make a phone call with it! :-) Bill P.S. Please zoom to appreciate foreground. "Milestone 1100" thumb_2293335.jpg

I like the image and I bet you if you didn't tell anyone about the phone, they would think this was taken with a regular camera.

There are already photobooks available with images taken only with phone cameras. Some are quite bad, others are like this!

Remarkable! Very beautiful. Although did you not feel you had left the house without your underwear? I believe my phone can make an image of exceedingly inferior quality bu I have no idea how to get it onto the PC.!

I know the cameras on phones are very good now, thus they are the bane of going to gigs! White screens appearing everywhere in the audience lol Nothing the organisers can do to stop it because they are phones! But, this shows just what you can do with one.. a fine picture Bill no matter what took it! Rob

What on earth were you thinking? LOL! I've only left the house without my camera once in the last couple of years (it was a complete accident), and I had the most awful sense of doom about it; of course I saw something I really wanted to capture! My smartphone has a camera, but I only ever get "oops!" shots of the inside of the protective case (not the right one for this phone, so it covers the camera eye). I'm still figuring out how to work the darn thing. This is a beauty of a shot, Bill!

I can't believe the magnificence of this pic taken by all things, a cellphone. What a stunning scene! Of course, it's an Apple product, so how can you go wrong? And, I'm probably the only one among your viewers/commentors that dosen't own a cellphone.

Very beautiful lighting in this image , Bill ! Iphone is very good in terms of photography, but it is essential to help with a similar scene. I have a Samsung MK1 working discreetly and I took several pictures of the test!

Just goes to prove it's all in the eye and the skill of the photographer. I've seen photos taken with top-flight cameras that were crap, and photos taken with drug-store disposables worthy of National Geographic. You and Tara could probably go out with pinhole cameras made with an oatmeal box and come back with masterpieces! I'm in awe... :-D
