I have passed this tree for many years and said... I must stop and capture it's beautiful flowers........ and yesterday I did you can't rush these things years in the making but well worth the wait I plan to shoot it again tomorrow hope you are all safe and well cheers Carl www.thehenselcollection.com where art is humbled by nature

Ever since a certain Swedish monk began experimenting with flowers, I've found their colors and patterns to be a great help in art and design. I never pass the opportunity to snap a flower, any flower in bloom.

You know they do have a unique simple Beauty about them and the smell Heavenly!! My God Mother, Lord rest her soul, had two trees of these Beautiful flowers one pink, the other yellow and like these! I never knew there true name till now so Thank You Carl it brings back fond memories, also when the fall from the tree the flutter down, or you can spin the like a helicopter and they fly! And the strong leaves, when you snap them in half they Fly like paper airplanes and their sap is like Elmer's glue and just as white!! What can I say I was a boy with a wild imagination but I also could enjoy the Beauty as well! Mmm it brings a tear to my eye everytime I see or smell them, so soft a flower, so sweet a smell, so many Joyful memories....

I know nothing about flowers, but I know what I like. this is a beautiful shot Carl, the colors and the droplets combined with the shape of the petals bring out a softness that one can almost feel. Beautiful capture my friend.
