Description

Hi, here is preview of my new 3D hair style from my upcoming new line , all hair are individual 3D tubes ( without trans-maps )created using Zbrush4 R2b and new feature Fibermesh , designed and exported at 44K polys to Daz Studio and rigged for Genesis . Rendered in DS using Reality/Lux render plugin. Textures are my V4 Mamita character This is one of my most exciting project ever .. I would like to design some also for use with Poser soon.. These are real hair :) very good! If the future of hair is this you are a genius. Are they morphable?

Yes you can use them with Carrara as well and Poser .. and are not morphable due that it are 3D hair with 90.000 hair , once they are set in style and exported can't be moved without distortions, I still try to find solution but for today it does not work. they don't use caps , the hair grown like direct from the scalp ..need to be rendered with AO for optimal effect.. other way you will see to much skin :) but I love it .. it will add reality to your work .. and the production is much more cheaper that trans-mapped hair .. so you all good for have some ! :)

Wow - this is a really interesting development, you are so creative! Hair is so often the weak link in making realistic renders, and this look really good!

Wow! This really exciting and the most realistic hair I have seen. You are indeed one of the most talented 3D modellers that goes into the details. Also very generous of you to share with us. My salutation for you. Just got my Zbrush 4R2b update and read about this new features. So far, I can only do it in Maya and Zbrush and have yet to get it cross or learn to use Daz/Poser. Cath, with so many good artwork and a wealth of experiences, you should also write a book on 3D human modeling and the process of how it can be port over to various platform like in Daz, Poser and Carrara and so on... Have not come across any books on that. This would make the modeling process pipeline more complete. I will be the first to pre-order it. Please keep us post if you do that. With what you done, animation of hair using simulated physics will soon make virtual character looks realistic even in action, not to mention what Kinect has done for mocap for human body. Thanks to help push the limit in the application of the technologies.

Gorgeous hair, so realistic! I'm glad to hear it can be used in Poser. Sad to hear it has to go through DS first, I can't get anything past DS 2.3 to work on my machine :( Oh well, lol
