Description

This is funny but not funny but my little nephew found this and left it laying on the table by my plants and if i had thrown it away he would have got upset so i left it there and when i got home and went to water my plants i see all these babies crawling around and about had a fit thinking i was infested with some kind of bug on my plants long story short it was the coming out of the mantis so now i feel really bad cause i can't scoop them up to put them out just to cold so now they will probably starve but i let them be and watched them come out i just love these little guys.

Yuk' throw them down the toilet... And we no longer use Ajax here-It is so out of date and it is easier using the liquid crap that they sell these day's.

What interesting luck! People pay a pretty good price to order these from seed catalogs! But you are right, out of season is not so good...maybe you can overnight them to a friend in southern reaches. =D Amazing macro!

Poor little critters, they will probably resort to canibalism if they don't find other critters for lunch. Neat image of them though.

Don,t you know where did he found it? There must be some food for them if they back to where they came. Mantis are great, except for the small defect of eating their husbands!!

This is really something else. :)))) When my husband worked at a plant nursery a person brought one of these in and left it in the kitchen. One day when they hatched it looked like thousands of them on the ceiling, the walls, all counters, and even on the floor. LOL!!!! I love these beauties also. :)))) They are so neat to watch. :)))) Most excellent capture my friend. :)))) Please tell your nephew thank you for me. :)))))) Thank you for sharing all of the beauty you see. :))))) Carry A Smile In Your Heart :))))))

An aquarium with a screen cover would contain them but you would need some small insects to feed them. Then hope for an early Spring. I think that is they get hungry that they might eat each other. Oh, a great shot!
