Description

...Inspired by the weather in the last days around my part of the world - well, we've had some real snow now, that's another matter :) Vue render with some minor touch-ups in Photoshop. Items from C3D and myself. Thanks for viewing, comments etc. welcome and appreciated. Have a nice day - Lars ***Comment update**** About the spider web, I've often seen this, remains of the autumn in the frosty vegetation. That's why I've also tried to make it "worn" and imperfect. And, who says this is taking place in late January - might as well be late November/early December, where we usually have this look, a lot earlier than this winter - and the web directly and intentionally suggests this :)

Nice image! might seem colder if there were more specific highlights on the frost. Maybe a little more contrast. Regards, Tom

Amazing. Love the misty sunlight through the trees, the spider web. I can almost feel the cold crisp dry air.

I am still around, though not as often as I used to be, so, hehehe, you won't be able to get away without at least one crit ;) Oh wait, I see the first person did a crit, then I hope you come back and read these things? My crit is, sorry, but there is no way on earth that spider type would have any sort of a web during winter like that, they are spring and summer spiders, they like warm weather. So, though it looks great in the scene, for me it sort of takes away, as I don't think a left over web from way back in the fall would still be there, would it? hehehe Otherwise, beeeaautiful as always. .............md ;)

I'm glad that you're keeping up with pure nature images while continuing the narrative images with figures and animals. I really like the sky, even though it's partially overexposed. Or perhaps because it is. It has that almost painfully bright feel clouds can have sometimes. The vegetation is just wonderful. I really like the partially frozen water. On the frost, I think the person's point was more that frost should generally sparkle, but the specular on the frost here is very flat. For me, it's the one aspect of the materials that tells me it's not real. Otherwise, they seem dead on. I've seen webs look less complete than that in days, not weeks, and the vegetation seems at the very least mid-autumn. That said, I've also never lived very far north and only now live away from the ocean (the ocean stabilizes weather), and I've seen the temperature drop enough in 24 hours to go from "Indian summer" to frost. Besides, it works really well in the composition and with the frost effect. Something about this image makes me miss the birds we always called crows but I've come to realize are ravens. It certainly makes me miss the north.
