Description
Still driving on Chapmans Peak.
This is actually scary driving underneath this rock formation. As you saw in my previous upload they did build the construction in such way ensuring that any rocks falling or rolling would roll over the structure away from the road.You may also have seen the funny fences with round shaped wire. I read somewhere that they would be able to stop rocks moving at a speed of 30 Meters per second.
Would not like to test those fences.

We have these type of fences along the river bank's but i still would not like to put them to the test on the road's that you depict...

That overhang is gunited with concrete to secure the ground/rocks above. At this this way rocks will fall away from the road. Another great view of one of my fave roads, Clive
