Description
In Tibet the wrathful gods protect the monasteries, however, after the tragic destruction of the once sacred land, one can't help but wonder what happened.I guess it's like the old newsreel we saw as kids,Time Marches On!
Apo and a photo of a mask a friend sent me from Lhasa.The day after it was sent out the shop was fire bombed in the riots. It has special meaning for me.Hope you enjoy!

Splendid combination, interesting Mask. Back in 88/89 I spent most of 2 years working in Nepal on an Seismic Survey Crew, several of us had gotten Visa's to visit Tibet after the Contract was finished. We never got to go though, by the end of the job the Border between India and Nepal was closed and tensions were high between the two countries and China was rattling Sabres with Tibet again so we decided the smartest move for us North Americans was to get the hell outa South Central Asia.
