Here comes the 4th panorama collage. At the top you see at the very left, the Western direction, the marketplace. In the center you look at the townhall. The street (Hauptstraße = mainstreet) points nearly exactly to the East. Here you also find the Kornmarkt (Crop market) with the as I always say Goldmariechen (a little blasphemic: little golden Mary). In the background you can see Heidelbergs famous castle ruin. This should be in millions of tourist photographic albums - LOL! The bottom panorama shows the Karlsplatz (named after Großherzog Karl Friedrich von Baden). You come there when you walk further down the Hauptstraße (mainstreet). Karlsplatz is surrounded by many wonderful old buildings, e.g.: Palais Boisserée at the left, the building with the grey gate and the balcony. Today you find here the Germanistische Seminar or the Heidelberger Akademie der Wissenschaften at the right of the center with the dark roof and the red-brown entrance.
