A Dutch good friend introduced me to R'osity... and now, I really feel good in this community : I enjoy a lot your friendship and comments !BIOWith a few exceptions (indicated), I'm using a simple CANON Digital IXUS i... Sometimes, I do some postwork using ArcSoft PhotoStudio 5, but I just installed Adobe PhotoShop 7.0...
But now, after having seen all these beautiful shots, I just bought (Nov 2004) myself a new camera : NIKON 70 D !
I'm a chemist, leading a small R&D team in polymers (My greatest pleasure is to stimulate creativity...) I'm also studying to become a patent attorney...
I'm living in Belgium and enjoy travelling, hiking (going out every week-end is a vital must !), reading (my French preferred authors are Marc Ly, Jean-Christophe Grang Amie Nothomb,...), music (great fan of US female voices : Jennifer Warnes, Natalie Merchant, Sarah McLachlan, ...) and ... photography ! :~)
Bien cordialement aussi aux amis francophones !

What a bird! What light. I love Euro Robins...they seem a bit smaller than the ones here in North America. Of course, I live in Chicago, and so it's of evolutionary importance for them to be big enough to fight off marauding trucks taxi-cabs, and gun-toting pigeons. Ah! Life in Chicago. It's wonderful! This is a gorgeous pic, and I especially love the color and quality of the light.

This is a very interesting and beautiful bird. It's a wonderful picture as well, for reasons of light, clarity, and composition. But birds don't get their beauty as a result of evolution, but rather, God gave them beauty so that we could enjoy them.
