Description

This is another shot of the work of Robert Mangold from the night of his opening reception.It was an enjoyable evening and he even remembered me from my college days back in 1983.He was my instructor for 3d Design at Metropolitan State College in Denver.

you remembered him.... people have that spider sense about them, they know who does and doesn't like them - he picked that up about you I'm sure and that's why he remembers - you gave him good vibes like his teachings were really reaching somebody and that's what teachers live for.... I'm happy for you that you still know an art teacher from years gone by... I was shy durring my school days and my art teachers were alway trying to show my work to the class - it felt good and expected... I haven't seen any of them since school days and wonder how many of them are actually still around.... I remember my 3 favorite art teacher's names.... my favorite was Ms. Barbara Marshall - she taught up at Warren Tech, she had some great colored pencil work hanging in the class room that she had done.

Very cool photo series, Jim. I really like Mangold's sculptures. I always wanted to try doing real sculptures, myself. And very cool that he is your old teacher from college. It is always funny to meet people you havn't seen in years.
