The background was done with Gimp, the modeling was primarily Carrara with some additional tweaking done with Hexagon. This was quite a project for me and it is the most complex one for be so far. I spent about a month updating, revising, modifying, adjusting, and tweaking and now when I look at it all I see are the things that need to be fixed. Overall though, I thought it turn out OK. I will probably revisit it again in 6 months or so. I found a few references for the station online and I also had access to the old episodes. When examining the details, all the references were a little different and the station appeared to change from season to season in the TV series. I took that as my license to model the details as it suited me. The engineer in me is telling me that one would never design a space station like this anyway.
