Description

This past weekend (Sunday the 5th) was my granddaughter Mieke's Christening in Bloemfontein - about 4hrs drive from where I live. It has been a crazy two weeks preceeding the Christening as I made the Christening dress as well as Kayla (big sister's) dress. It has been pure joy though. :) This is mom and a slightly unhappy Mieke! In her defense - it was BOILING hot!!! We had such a blessed and joyful time!!! Oh what a beautiful photo, I got my sewing maching out last week, just to do some mending of a few things, and I almost had to reteach myself how to thread it, it had been so long, I use to make all types of kids clothes and costumes for Halloween. The dress looks beautiful great job and she can keep it forever.

Good that you have pictures of such precious moments... your daughter and granddaughter look both beautiful: Mom with a great smile and Mieke with a wonderful dress ! A very tender shot ! (I'm also a happy grandfather but my daughter doesn't allow me to upload pictures of my two beautiful granddaughter here or on Facebook... Oh well, I have them on my wall, on my desk, on my computer...) :~)
