It's been a little over 2 months we have had Salsa. This is one smart little cookie. Already she knows how to step up, wave, shake hands, and she is learning to do an imitation of an eagle. Well, sort of in this picture. She is getting more and more friendly with my stepson. Not so much with my husband but he has to work with her more. My son is always trying to work with her. We just purchased this huge cage 6hX6lX3w. Most of the time she is out of the cage though sitting on her training perch or riding around on my shoulder. We are also working on a couple of phrases but all she says now is Hello and What's up. I expect one day she is going to say "You're a pain in the a--!" because I say that to my 22 year old son a lot. Sometimes when I have her on my arm she will rest her head on my shoulder. She is just so sweet. Update: 3/12/12--Update: Salsa is now buds with my husband. She will step up onto his arm and let him give her kisses. She now says "cracker". She loves crackers.
