Description

so here is another test..... a frontal distant with deep shadows a side distant negative 20% another side distant same settings opposite side another distant no shadows as rim light and finally a distant with a hint of cyan as a specular overall what I am trying to do is create dramatic lighting with a minimum of deep shadows usage hence speeding up the render times there is only one light with shadows in this scene when I often have many the rim light is a little cheeky as it falls in places where it shouldn't but I am not chasing realism here happy times for you all doc c www.thehenselcollection.com share learn and grow

interesting effect .. I do like the drama of it; seems we're all about the drama lately.. are you taking lessons from my 8 year old Sarah Bernhardt?

Cool play of light and dark. It's always a challenge to find 'good enough' lighting with just a few lights. Congrats on the experiment. Really well done portrait and that hair is fabulous and full of life.

Very cool bit of experimentation. I'd read a little about negative lighting ages ago but forgotten all about it until your previous post. Thanks for inspiring me to seek out more information regarding the process. It should be a lot of fun to play around with at some point.

Very interesting experiment. All the lights falling the way they do are a bit mad, but not in a bad way! Martin
