My Name is René, born 03-April-1955
i come from the Grand -Duchy of Luxembourg, and my wife UteBigSmile and me have been living in spain the last 17 years, where we discovered renderosity and the 3d world.
Due to health reasons i lost my job and i got retired early, and last year (2013)we moved back to our Home Country!
............................................
My hobbys are PC,Internet,Pc-Configurations,
reading fantasy,as well as from april of 2008 doing 3drenders. ............................................... As my father bought me only the cheapest of accessories for painting in school(he was maybe not able to afford more expensif stuff.),the other kids were laughing at me,and so i decided that: i will never do art in my life, imagine i was 8 years old. so i managed to build up a "blockade",concerning art until april of 2008. then my wife utebigsmile was behind me and she pushed me to do something instead of playing only my ego shooters and working with photographs, where i was unable to get inspired. I had a copy of poser but i did not came along with the program, then i went to a 3d forum, because i told myself ,there must be more people like me outside in the cyberspace(LOL). Finally i got an offer,Bryce 5.5 for free and Daz-Studio,i tried a week around and little by little i was able to understand the basics. so i upgraded my bryce to version 6 and i got a platinum membership on daz, a lot of freebies and cheap articles,i bought like wild, Now i do have a content of +-500gigs and i carry on . what gave me the most is this feedback from the people here, and also everything well educated, the whole way of getting along with each other, the respect etc... gives me soo much. Update:UteBigSmile is getting better and better,in health and in spirit-lol. She does wonderful graphs as well-but now she is also addicted on DazStudio.3d. And this is it for now, "God" bless you all here the link to my page: renecyberdoc4.uterene.org/

Great work on these two images my friend well done.. As for the rant the ones that delete their galleries will say its their prerogative to do so if they want for whatever reason they can come up with and say we have no right to say anything about it, and we a small minded blah, blah, blah.. But as I have said before like you I don't see the point in using precious time commenting only to have those comments deleted..
A_Sunbeam
I don't see the point of deleting a gallery, even if you leave Renderosity; it's there for people to enjoy, and there are many galleries here where there have been no new posts for years. I'm glad we can still enjoy galleries posted by those of our friends who, sadly, have died.

The images are nice. However, I think that this time you're a bit off base here, Rene. The galleries are for people to put up how they please. And people are allowed to comment as they please. One thing I've never gotten about Rendo is that if I comment on something, that person feels compelled to comment on something of mine. Also, I have rarely seen an artistically critical comment here. Everything is so polite that it stifles real artistic teaching and learning. I don't want nice comments. I want people to tell me where my art went wrong! Could I have used a better color pallet, or used something to frame the main object in the image? Does my image tell a story? These are the types of comments I want to see, not just on my images, but on everybody's. Yes, I enjoy a pat on the head as much as anybody, but I learn more when somebody takes the time to tell me something I've done wrong. These are the comments I learn from. End rant. That being said, I dislike galleries being deleted when they have continuing stories in them. Oh well. People have the right to delete things of their own. And we, of course, have the right to change our favorites.

Wonderful scene !

Very good scenes and work!

Looks like they went shopping on their lunch break...Bit more ground lighting needed I think..

Great image Rene. I fully understand your thoughts about how rude it is when people delete their galleries. It doesn't really bother me that much though. I just remove them from my favorite list. I see no point in letting their being rude get me upset. That is giving way more power to someone than they deserve.

I disagree some people leave everything up that they ever posted, my own gallery had 9 pages of stuff from when I first came here in dec 2000. I used it as a kind of progression report on were I was and how I have grown as an artist. I pulled most of it because I was sick of looking at 8.3 pages of complete crap. Some people pull their galleries simply because they in their mind have progressed and feel they cannot progress further when being reminded of old stuff. They may also want to weed their gallery in order to showcase the best of their best. It isn't about comments since when has art ever been about comments and who is sucking who's ass? It is about ART OR IN MANY CASES LACK OF TALENT SUCKING ASS IN A CHILDISH POPULARITY CONTEST. Good in the old days most people left comments unchecked unless t5hey were having technical difficulties mastering something so they would beseech the public asking "ok I this doesn't look right can someone who knows bryce help me solve this?" That was what comments are for as well as for people to express their appreciation of a particular piece. If you are thinking that posting on someone's work only to have the pic deleted is a waste of your time then you are posting comments for the wrong reasons..there is my rant on the rant. Ps I give a flying f@ch if anyone ever comments on my work.

I like the idea of the two images apparently taken on different days of the walk through that unsightly part of the town. And, while it's not the best part of town at least there isn't much litter there. As for what you are commenting about I save that kind of ire only for politicians and corporate "quasi" citizens who think they run the world because "they know better" or because they have too much money to corrupt the politicians into bowing and scraping to them. It's something that you see also, Rene, and it flows into your art as such canny commentary.

Looks like the girls need to take a safer way Rene. As for your rant I agree with you totally. It is depressing to think all the comments over a long period of time are tossed out like they have no value.
Savage_dragon
Sucking on your creative... adder? Don't look at me. I had a 3 hour coronary stress test yesterday where they shot nuclear medicine into my heart & for a few minutes, I thought I was dying. But I still came home & made my comments. And my uploads. ;p Your sisters are shopping in a pretty sleazy part of town. Must be Los Angeles. ")

Superbes images dans les deux cas, René! Diatribe...

i agree rene, but i stll continue to comment, just don't fave the ones that do this, great job on this my friend.

I suppose there could be a variety of reasons someone would "leave" and take down their gallery. I had joined here early on when poser 4 was new and after about a year, I quit because I thought I'd never create anything more than the crap I was doing at that time... I felt embarrassed and not very happy. I deleted my entire gallery and quit, only to feel empty without a place to show my progress as I learned more about 3d art... I also missed many of the people I came to know here, and nearly drove my poor wife Jaime crazy because I had nowhere to "go"..so to speak. I'd like to say comments mean nothing to me, but that would be a lie. I like knowing what others think of my art. I don't always catch every single post that is put up by my favorites here, but I try as often as time, and my mental state allows. Don't take it so seriously my friend, I don't think it was anything personal, just someone for whatever reason felt they had to go... I enjoy your rants, and your art and try my best to comment on them, so please Rene don't fret over one lost sheep, they may have just needed some alone time.

Nice work as always. I am doing something a little different I am trying to match a song to the render. I know with the language barier you may not know the songs or the works. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-gqMpZroy8

I like your images Rene, you have your one art style, I also dont botter any more about some bad comments....they only make you angry....lol. I comment what i whant to comment, but i dont want to hurt people. If you dont like the art than dont comment at all.....that is my opion....sorry for my bad English Rene, but i think you understand me.....I also love your art and your humour in it.....that for me is also good.....hugs Adrie.

Yes. This is the way to create. I.e. the way you create is perfect. 5+!

Very good iamges Rene. I agree with you in part - it does seem that when a person deletes their gallery, they are deleting a part of their and our lives: we spent some time looking and writing on the art they presented to us.

Wonderful images! And as always an insightful rant! Some of the ones that delete or move I miss very much. Others I hardly notice, lol. I do hope you don't let this get you down and keep you from creating, now THAT would be a shame. I look forward to your images and rants :)

A great scene as usual...... Seems like this place gets to everybody now and then bro. I can't really say much on your situation my friend...you just have to react and do as you feel best. One thing i did notice is that there seems less and less artists on here all the time( according to the number of artists on line stats )...perhaps this site is not as good as it once was ?..who knows ?
