Description

My first Vue 10 Complete image...I recently purchased Vue 10 as an upgrade from my old version 8... New things in version 10 are the spline tool (which is the road i have here) and rocks...Old version of Vue had terrible rocks, now their rocks are much improved. The road here originally was a one solid line road. I had to postwork to add another solid line (clone it from one line) to make it two solid lines..maybe there are two lines offered in Vue, I just have not figured it out yet. Lastly, the rendering engine seems a little faster on this version than the previous version but I think I need to upgrade my video card..I see some things that are a little buggy on my system in this new Vue version but not bad..

Looks great, Phillip. Congrats with the upgrade, I hope to get around to it myself soon. But the spline road examples I've seen - included this one - all suffer from a somewhat bulky look, not being integrated into the surroundings, looking like an object draping the surface, which is of course what it is. Well, maybe a little trial and error can improve this. The rocks really rock though smile.

Superb landscape, excellent work! I see that it's always necessary to upgrade harware to use Vue...

Wonderful ! The new goodies are fun. Have you seen the HR rocks? Much better than those horrid ones we've had for the last decade!

Wow! Phillip, you are right! V10 is much better than V8. Especially it runs much more stable on my old PC. Great picture! I already wonder what we will see next! ;-)

I don't see faults in this image and you did a wonderful job with the road. I like how you've created a road crest and the anticipation of an incredible view as soon as we get to it. Beautiful work, Philip, and totally realistic.

this looks so cool and it makes me want to play outdoors with CG... but, my interest is in people/poser, so I don't see me getting into vue anytime soon, but I love seeing what you do with it - awesome job on everything here especially the added line.
