I enjoy creating artwork in Poser, Photoshop CC, Vue, and DAZ Studio. I also have a passion for photography, and have been actively shooting for many years. I've been using Poser since Version 8, and am also learning my way around DAZ Studio. I've been using Adobe Photoshop since version 4. I also use Vue 10. I frequently use my photos as backgrounds, and composite my 3D figures into them.
I have been creating my web comic / graphic novel "The Girls From T.N.A." since fall of 2009, and have been a member of Renderosity since August 2009. I've made a lot of wonderful friends here, and have been inspired every time I visit!
I will soon have a more complete biography, as I am updating everything. In the meantime, have a look around my gallery!
Thanks!
Rod

While I have D4 I've yet to install it, butif 4 follows three, all you'll need to do is create a light and point it and turn it down - you might want to talke to the Cyberdoc on this Great image and love the reference

That's cool. I haven't actually touched DS4 Pro, though I did install it..

Wow very nice first render my friend she looks great, I am sure you have been using Daz before lol.. If you need any hints or help with it give me a bot I may be able to help.. One thing I noticed is her clothes shine like plastic.. One way of stopping that is you can go into surface(colour) tag, select the item i.e. top, scroll down to near the bottom of the menu to "Lighting Model" the default is nearly always plastic and then in the drop down menu choose Matt. On Victoria skin I choose skin except for lips nails and eye surface which I choose plastic or glossy plastic.. Anyway buddy I hope you have fun with Daz but I think you will get it going great guns and out do us old Daz uses lol.. I say this as I play in poser now lol..

COOL to see I'm not the only one diving into DAZ for genesis... I'm excited about the genesis function, I've tried to tweak poser for years to get a certain character look - and I'm just a dial turner, not a model maker - yet - lol I think.... I hope genesis will allow me to do what I want to with characters - no, I'm not thinking like a pervert - lol - mickey mouse shape stuff if what I'm after.
auntietk
I DO wish she'd step back from the edge just a little bit! Looking down over that precipice is not going to help her get her ring back, and it makes me a little dizzy! What a great first render! You rock!
bmac62
Good she's young and healthy enough not to suffer from balance problems...or she'd be gonnnnneeee. Best wishes with DAZ...! Like all the perspective in this render.
UteBigSmile
Well, for your 1st DAZ-render it's not bad at all Rod, I'm just joking, he looks great!
Froggy
Indeed mate, i too have the package but only 'cos it was free - I think that just about makes it worth it. DAZ are going to have to do some "proper" work on the interface to bring it up to scratch though! If only they would work on their Carrara software. I bought that a while back and there seems to be scant little development for that now DS is here. hey ho!
vitachick
Great Daz4 render. I purchased it when it first came out. Didnt like it and asked for my money back. Now that Daz4 Pro is free I installed it once again, but haven't used it yet..Agree with Froggy on its interface. Wonder why they changed everything? Happy with Daz3 interface..Daz2 also the same.. Ok why is she on the ledge and why did she take her ring off? Long way down and one never knows what is at the bottom. Human eating Minotaur maybe?
HADCANCER
Your first time??? Did it hurt any? Did you like it. Is there hair on your plam? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OI-LFxf9oB0

Thats a bad place to drop the ring =) Fantastic scene!
renecyberdoc
yeah and when you point in the preferences directories under poser content the runtime you use for poser you can use that content.besides you have the autofit tool include meaning you can use v4 clothes on genesis etc...

I'm a Poser dude as well.. But, I have this offer downloaded (not installed yet though, upgrade needed!) I normally create at Rosy's but I plan to start doing stuff both here in the UK and over in my 'real' home! So, as with you, watch this space as well.. A great attempt first go Rod.. And it looks good for a DAZ picture must say! Well done mate.. Rob
Alyah
That's one ring she may not want to retrieve. Great looking scene here, Rod. Let me know when you get real good with DS4 I'll get you to do promos for me, hahaha. Beautiful and have a great weekend!
Erestorfan
Well, I guess she didn't keep that ring secret or safe, now did she?? I'm with some others here, she needs to step back a bit...I don't to heights well and this POV made me a little woozy, like some of the scenes from LOTR! Actually this kind of reminds me of the scenes of inside Mt. Doom from LOTR! And I think I saw something like it in an episode of Stargate... Nice job on your first try with DAZ!
mrestey
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! She dropped her PRECIOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUS! S-O-A-B!!!!!!! Funny thing is Rod, I have always liked that set you used here but I have not yet done an image with it. Nice first image buddy.
FaeMoon
Yeah, I keep tinkering with it too. Not sure what I'll come up with - love your concept here! I know you'll be making us Daz tutorials in no time. :D hugs
npauling
A super image trying out Daz. I too am experimenting with it but I can see you are much further ahead of me with this one. A great sense of depth here and a great scene.
Rainastorm

I'll just say lol...and I'm waiting to see if shes gonna behave LOL But I cant wait to try Hexagon, and its been YEARS since Ive used Bryce! Awesome first my friend...hope you and Jo are settling down OK after a hard week.

~Its going to be a tough retreival!! :) Great render in DAZ Rod! I know you will become a pro!!~
adrie
LOL, this is a wonderful image, with a great pose and lighting Rod. As always excellent work.
MtnMist
Good luck with DAZ, Rod, I still haven't installed the free pro. This is a wonderful image, especially the illusion of extreme height. I think I'd chalk that ring up to a loss and get the heck out of there. Love it!
pixeluna
I am sorry for my very late comment, Big Bro. Just like you, I have also tried playing with DAZS 4 but I don't seem to get the hang of it. It will probably take more time. You did a great job with your first render, I am quite impressed.
