Description

Hi friends, There is still snow, although much has been broken by the frost. This picture I made in late January in our garden. They are the fruit of the Chinese lantern plant. Today I make another compliment to Karel because he has made an excellent soup of chickpeas, with plenty of vegetables in it. I love vegetables. This soup was beside the chickpeas f.e. include: celery, leeks, carrots. That we ate with coarse rye bread with cheese. Do you become already jealous? Normally here in Holland you first need a round skating, before you eat the soup, but well, it did not work this time, LOL. Thank you very much for your visit, wishing you all a lovely day further.

Wonderful capture of these beautiful and delicate pieces. They look so fragile, yet hardy enough to handle the ice and snow. Beautiful textures and details. The soup sounds soooo good. Compliments to the chef. Prachtige vangst van deze mooie en delicate stukken. Ze zien er zo fragiel, nog hardy genoeg om het ijs en de sneeuw. Mooie texturen en details. De soep klinkt zoooo goed. Complimenten aan de chef-kok.

I love this wonderful photo. I have not seen these since I was a child. We also called them Chinese lanterns and would collect them in October, let they dry and save them to put on our Christmas tree.

Been a very dry winter, next to nothing for snow in the mountains. Am concerned about the coming summer. This is a fantastic image, so winter!

Somebody should knit them a couple of little beanies, to keep their heads warm ;) they are very cute indeed and it's such lovely find, Jacominchen ~ It must be such a big challenge experiencing snow - for me anyway, keep warm my friend and safe, no more experimenting for you on the ice! BB
