Description
I told you all--months ago!--I'd do more on this project: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=2169227&user_id=639265&np&np
This is also my first piece done in Carrara 8. Getting C8 is something else I'd been saying I'd do for ages. So I got it as a late Christmas present when it went on sale. Since then, my mentor Spacer_01 has been tutoring me via Skype. So he's "Seen" at least 90% of this being created, while helping me learn the Materials room and Lighting, as well as doing the sugical sheets and drapes. The final render will have a differnt sheet to better fit the gurney model I'm using.
I imported the group from the original DS3A scene and started working with them, getting used to the basic C8 controls, then loading the gurney plus the drapes/patient group Spacer had done. Then I added the other props and the Twi'lek medtech. At this point, I'm halfway satisfied with the posing, & have started working with shaders for the medtech's jumpsuit and the caps & gowns.
No postwork on this render except signature.

Love the lighting.

Its definitely worth clicking on for the full resolution! Once on learns how to setup indoor and outdoor lighting (indoor actually being the harder of the two), then the shadows, and everything else will fall into place. :)

Thanks for the comments! I need to get back to this, but... My whole family has been sick off & on this month (no doubt due to the crazy weather... My schedule & Spacer_01's don't always mesh... And I'm getting ready to take the exams to enter the non-traditional teacher certification program. Not in Art--in Science! So not been much time lately--but it looks like I'll do some more this weekend.

That is really a spectacular scene. Your lighting is just wonderful. It's so real I'm a bit creeped out. :) The action is so realistic. Zoom is definitely worth it.
