Description
This is for Andrea, a rather strange bamboo to view. It was a seed last spring, this was taken today. The plant is in a 3 litre pot on the top of my freezer for photo purpose only. It has endured -10 degrees already this winter as it lives outside. I have about 10 seedlings this is the tallest some are shorter and bushy. That is natural from seeds. All have the long eyelashes in the leaf axils, about 3/4 inch long as seen in the close up. In the more tropical climate in can grow to huge. Yet it can survive such cold. A project for when global warming really gets hold of my garden!
