Hello!! from Jean. I live in UK north of Manchester and close to the Ribble Valley. I have two sons who live in the south of England , and Geneva. I have been interested in photography for years..in the sense of capturing people and scenes, but with a digital camera have become an addict. Photography enables unique moments to be captured and one learns to use one's eyes more searchingly. As I have absolutely no talent in conventional art it is a challenge to try to produce results with all the help available with software. As a overview of my gallery will show, I am a novice! I do like to experiment..usually with no fixed idea of where i'm going1 Just persist until the image pleases me. and the creative process is fun. Members of RR have been very generous with their comments and help, which is very much appreciated. I have learned so much of seeing other artists' work apart from the real enjoyment of viewing and having contact with other members.  I like to travel which gives added inspiration.... Many many thanks to you all. JeanÂ

This is really a beautiful shot! It shows how the arches supporting the roof spread like petals of a flower, upwards and outwards. The repetitiveness in the photo gives a nice view of the intricate lace-like work holding up the glass roof. I see the old original lamps are still there, suspended. The only thing I miss are the old dark red or dark green railway cars with side doors for each compartment. Tickets were checked at the entrance to each platform back then, as the conductor could not walk from compartment to compartment when the train was moving since there was no corridor. Very quaint. Keep up the good work! :-)

Wonderful graphic image (would be even better if you could show the feet of the man in the foreground... no wide-angle lens ?) Congratulations, Jean for the selection of this image in LWitG #8 (Last Week in the Gallery #8) ! :~)
