Description

Captured 1/29/12, early afternoon, at the beautiful Rancho Los Alamitos Historic Ranch and Gardens in beautiful Long Beach, California. Stunningly ZOOM worthy. The site, located on four acres, and situated next to the beautiful campus of the California State University, Long Beach, has an adobe ranchhouse, gardens, courtyards, hedges, sculptures, and a wide variety of benches and plants, mainly cacti and big trees, that have been around for eons. And, beginning June 10, 2012, after a complete renovation of the barnyard portion of the site, farm animals will be reintroduced onto the ranch. Hope to be there afterwards to record that particular fauna. Ta-ta, thankx for popping in, and for any and all favs and noncritical comments.

I love the open bowl-like shape of this. When I saw it and "Naked against the sky #11" I thought it would be wonderful to have an exhibition of images that have this shape. Wonderful colors and perspective!
