it's late to be saying happy birthday to Piet, but it's a very sweet image and equally sweet thought for one of RR's truly fine photographers. (And a real force behind the quality on RR, too.) An amazing shot of simple little (and common enough) candies, where we get to see how rough and rough-hewn they really are, and what a wonderful pile-up of abstract forms they make. The colors are so rich, as are the patterns you created. I know you've done studio work for years, so wouldn't be surprised if you set this up before hand; all I can say is, it's beautiful and joyous, and the varying focus-levels make it even more fascinating, a piece of visual music. And the blue light on the table top is a beautiful counter-accent too. I've been away for family matters, but it's a pleasure to come back for more of your beautiful art. I have others to catch up on, but given the heat wave we're in now, these beautiful festive colors seemed just the pic to do tonight. (A few icicles, and it would have been perfect, lol!) A beautiful valentine and birthday gift, and a beautiful shot of little candy-creatures.
