Hi! My name is Ed and I am just getting back in to photography. I have been taking pictures since the late 60's but kind of stopped for almost 30 years. I took mostly point and shoot pictures for years and decided to get back into a little more hands on photography.
I just got a Nikon D5100 with a 18-55mm lens and a 70-300mm Telephoto lens. I plan on getting some filter for both and doing a little experimentation with them.
I am interested in all types of photography, but lean towards landscape and trick photography. Â I also would like to try HDR in the future.Â
I would appreciate any feed back that I can get as this will help me fine tune my skills.
Unless stated, all photos are straight from the camera with no Photoshop manipulation.

This is an adventure that we have not yet experienced, but living where we do, I think we'll get around to it one of these days. Well caught before George got away:)

Nice shot! It is rare to get the opportunity. I never go on the whale-watching tours as they almost always violate the laws and interfere with the whale's activities. Glad you got the shot!
