Description
A fine day in the year 1936 for the people in the small spanish city at the mediterranean coast. But over their heads a dramatic fight is going on...
The very fine models are from Pedro Caparrós available in ShareCG.com

Thank you very much for the mention. Nice render, very dynamic. But the chronology is wrong. The Hawker Fury did not reach Spain until early July 1936, the military rebellion began on 17-18 July 1936 and 51 Heinkel came in early August 1936. And the small towns of the Mediterranean coast had no two-way road or the beach occupied by large apartment buildings until the 1980s. The really dramatic is not just the flight, the drama is what happened on the ground, in landscape destroyed by urbanization and speculation.

OK I changed the year. :-) Well I took an aerial photo and retouched the motorway away but the city is not possible to delete, so it could be an old city somewhere in Spain. Who knows... ;-)

The models render up really well. Re the background, artist license is fine by me. Real Estate is surely much more peaceful.... Perhaps the aircraft are really an austerity measure imposed by the EU ... reviving the market for German-built biplanes ;-)

Had to drop a line for this, brilliant image and worthy subject. I've often used Google Earth for 'authentic' backgrounds, I just blur them to mask modern development. Great POV, and the aircraft blend with the background perfectly... 10/10+
