Description

Here is a new piece of work that I just completed minutes ago.It is another piece done on my recycled handmade paper using oil pastel sticks, but this time I blended the colors using a bit of turpentine to turn a drawing into a painting. Thanks for viewing this work and for the comments.

Turpentine.... man... I haven't heard that word in 40 years - lol.... When I first started playing with enamel paints and models, My Mother had turpentine to clean my brushes, and to stretch paint... hell, I called all thinners and reducers turpentine for 2 to 3 years.... and then I was told turpentine was known as thinner and my art teachers told me everyone called it that... then when I started working in autobody and paint as a teenager I found out thinner is actually Lacquer-Thinner, Enamel-Reducer.... People use more enamel than Lacquer, so I'm confused why it's called thinner now - lol

turepentine huh, well i tell you somthing about terpentine. when i was 14 i started on the construction as plumber apprentice. as i had not enough pocket money (man it was late 60s)i took the bad habit of sipping from other peoples beer bottles .discreet or so i thought. someone was watching me all over and one day rene took a sip and it was terpentine. this vokker here never touched any ones bottle again a lesson for life .
