Description

After the big galactic wars a lot of territories have fallen to decay and all kind of scavengers are rumaging through the debris. That’s why Armand Duchesne decided to take his son and leave the rotten land. His wife died after a vile attack by some of the before named scavengers. The first thing wich came to Armands mind was of course vengeance,and he was looking all around to find the sobs.After weeks of desperate search he fell into a deep depression. Luckily his parents in law took care of the kid,and after a couple of weeks Armand recovered (after father in law washed his head so to speak). He gave him one of these speeches about responsibility etc. Finally Armand became aware that he was not supposed to think of the dead and neglect the living.he had to level and balance these feelings out and then he took his responsibilities and left the decaying and vile grounds with his son. His parents in law decided to stay,speaking of old trees the one should not move and replant elsewhere bla..bla. He respected the decision,wished them well and off they went. High above the flat grounds they made their first rest for the night,and looking back they saw in the gloom the rotten places. A big task is ahead for the man as he has to take care of the Kid and make sure safety is given where they go.besides that he has to start to know the Kid,as he does not really knows the little man,because his job as a miner kept him away lots of times from home and he did not see the Kid growing up.The Kid calls him sir and all that. Someone seems to have left the fireplace very quick in a hurry,gives him the opportunity to take a break and warm up some water for the tea and coffee. Fantastic image and amazing story line Rene. Wonderful point about the fellow needing to spend more time looking after the living than trying to avenge the dead. His son needs him more than ever now that his mom is gone.

Erinnert mich an das Buch "Die Straße" von Cormac McCarthy. Zwei Überlebende der Apokalypse. Vater und Sohn sind auf dem Weg zur Küste. Auf der Suche nach einem Ort zum Neuanfang. Sehr emotionale Story, René. Sehr gut gemacht!!!
