Marvellous composition, pov and light. I feel as if I'm about to reach out and push that door open. It feels familiar, somehow, and perfectly safe. Outstanding image!

Something as simple as that - made to look like something more interesting, it all depends on the POV, - on the other hand, I would love to get the sander and the paintbrush out - for a fresh new look! ;) BB

another Nikolay transformation...simple frames, maybe even ugly frames; and yet you've turned them into a vibrating, mysterious, chasm-filled & gritty collision of forms, light & texture. Again, zeroing in on the common, and finding whole new worlds inside it. I liked your response to one of my images, where you said (something like) bringing down the hues and concentrating on fewer is a way of getting inside the essence of the image more. (I'm paraphrasing badly, but it was something like that.) I wholly agree. With the camera, I'm just beginning to get the courage to go there more & more; but you've been doing it a long time. This is a marvelous penetration into the inner world of these objects; and the light & texture is alive & splendidly mysterious. Just plain, straight-out: You're one of the best artists I know.
