A little film grain and this would easily pass off as a photo. Good work. Where did you get the background photo? And what city is it? Keep up the good work (if bombing the sh*t out of a city is "good" work. I guess it depends on which side you're on). Disclaimer: No civilians were harmed in the making of this photo - but 5 Stukas crashed, 3 pilots got concussions, one camera man dropped his camera (6,000 feet straight down! Nothing much left of it afterwards. Insurance company refuses to pay for such carelessness at altitude!), one lighting technician burnt his fingers and a gaggle of generals got Stuka "poop" in the middle of their luxury dinner (the one at tax payer's expense, to boot! Sheesh! Such party pooping!). Keep up the good work! :-)

The city is my beloved Barcelona, date: March 17, 1938. See link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bombing_of_Barcelona. Already knew the photo and was hoping to use if I ever decided to model the Savioa-Marchetti Sa-79 (a plane very ugly). I did not know how to color the picture, but is perfect and white and black. You have advance and have shown me the way. Not really Stukas were used in these attacks. Italian Aviation Legion was the author thereof. It is also the author of the photo. I do not know just by wikipedia, my mother told me I was in the bottom when bombs rained. Still a nice render. Again thanks for the mention.

Thank you folks. Very interresting to know, that there where italians only. I am looking forward to see the Sa-79. :-) T.Rex: you are right, no one was harmed when this picture was made. Well, only the local tax office was hit... :o)

Considering the destruction this is a very chilling image. But why stop a the Tax Office, didn't they have Traffic Wardens in 1938 Spain. looking forward to seeing a Sa-79 too :)

The monochrome treatment works well for the subject, the Stukas looks like they are part of the photo. Don't have much call for S.79s out here in the Antipodies... though perhaps an S.75 might come in handy some day... I think thats the type the Italians flew once to Japan during the war...

Awesome aerial view!

nice integration using black and white, and that makes it appear older too, well, in this case, I guess the background was older!
