Description

Sevaril (Chapter 9) (continued) As a respons on Nightshades call like an owl the sound of quick feet soon sounded through the emty streets, Within half a minute two heavily armed persons stood in front of him. Dark elven man: ..Somethings wrong!?... Nighshade: ..Draco(*1) is dead, Amthar.. Murdered...! Amthar: No!!...What about Iphis...the princess?.. Nightshade: She's safe - Darkhawk is with her..on the way to our meeting point...Seen anything unusual around here?... Amthar: Nothing..just Jago(*2) on his way to the North gate... Nightshade: He's getting Iphis' horse... Marsharpiel?.. The young half elven woman just nodded at her head... Amthar: And now?... Nightshade: Draco told about a sitiuation like this..I got a "message" from him...We leave Nedon as planned, joining up with Darkhawk and Iphis and meet the rest later...Let's go.. (to be continued) (*1) About the man, Draco's dead see earlier chapters. Draco is the former Crowns Ranger, now retired and lived in the city of Nedon for years. Nightshade knew him very well from his childhood, riding with the ranges from early ages. (*2) Jago is another of Nightshades trusted men. Amthar Rashen rode with Draco when the kid, Nightshade arrived and Amthar was a sort of mentor and friend and they are still close. Amthar is a black elven but was raised by human step parents and worked as a potato farmer, a very unusual occupation for his kin. Silent, extreme hearing and able to see in complete darkness, that is the reason why black elven are feared foes and ecxellent allies. Amthar is, if not in fierce fight, very gentle and deeply respected by the all the other rangers. Marsharpiel is a 20 year old half black elven and Nightshade's daughter! She was unknown for Nightshade until three years ago, because she was raised in the north eastern lands by a mysterious powerful wizard. Here she was trained as the perfect assasin and silent killer but some day she got enough of killing and ran of hunted by the wizards men. Nightshade saved her without knowing who she was. First, when Amthar saw the two together he realized the relation between them, told by his extremely fine senses. The crowns ranger soon knew that Marsharpiel was his daughter and who the mother might be...a brief meeting in his more wild youth.. Father and daughter respect each other but are not excatly close. She is a bit ambiguous to her father but feel comfortable with Amthar's person and presence. This chapter - this image took some time because I have quite a work with the two new persons - and all three characters here are with my own face morphs. Even if the the scene is re-used I have to make the light almost from scratch again to get what I want. So here it is. I'm sorry, my eyes hurt, lack of sleep, I couldn't read it all... but looking at the title, I'd have to say the guy standing next to the cat has to be saying: "Look man, I came to see the Beetles, not the bugs you had playing... I'm not leaving until I get a refund" lol
