love the image, excellent piece of art, characters... at the same time, I feel what you said - who's gonna tell him he's playing with our dinner.... I can feel that feeling as a kid you don't want to eat something - like a rabbit... and what even makes it more touching, you've got the group of rabbits there as if they trust humans = sigh.
