Description
This is a repost of one of my early posting that I was not happy with and dedicating this version, to my good friend Mario (Mariogiannecchini).
This is a nesting pair of spoonbills. They are about 32 inches (81cm) long with a wingspan of 50 inches (127cm). This is most likely a young pair for they start turning pink as they age. There is a leg band on the standing spoonbill but I found them in the open wetlands. Taken with my old Minolta. Do zoom to check out the details.

I walk in three different south Florida wetlands Nancy. Two of the three have elevated boardwalks with four foot railings. The wildlife is used to the walkers and photographers. Some of the bird’s nests are only six feet away from the walkway. Life is good!
