Hello!! from Jean. I live in UK north of Manchester and close to the Ribble Valley. I have two sons who live in the south of England , and Geneva. I have been interested in photography for years..in the sense of capturing people and scenes, but with a digital camera have become an addict. Photography enables unique moments to be captured and one learns to use one's eyes more searchingly. As I have absolutely no talent in conventional art it is a challenge to try to produce results with all the help available with software. As a overview of my gallery will show, I am a novice! I do like to experiment..usually with no fixed idea of where i'm going1 Just persist until the image pleases me. and the creative process is fun. Members of RR have been very generous with their comments and help, which is very much appreciated. I have learned so much of seeing other artists' work apart from the real enjoyment of viewing and having contact with other members.  I like to travel which gives added inspiration.... Many many thanks to you all. JeanÂ

Lightbringer, yes I remember that from school, my friend. A superbly composed and observed sculpture. I love art galleries, but many have such queues, or are so hard to reach by public transport, that each visit turns into an expedition. As Christians start the season of Lent tomorrow, this picture reminds us that it is a time of testing. A bit like a girl or boy in the second team for netball or football, being placed by their coach into the first team to see if they can make it there. Challenging but exhilarating when it is seized and acted upon. Obstructions become opportunities. Life suddenly becomes so much more deep in detail and more interesting in experience. Thanks for sharing this image, my friend. Warm regards ( well mild anyway ) from a damp Glasgow, John.
