Description

For this cover, I had to figure out how to include five unique characters from the book without making it too congested. So, like many a band of heroes do at some point in their epic tale, I had them pose for an impromptu portrait to document their place in history and folklore. Once I get the text placed, I'll give ya'll the details about the book, itself. :D Zoom in for better view. Thank you. It took some time to color balance the work and keep consistent with the book, at the same time. Authors, when creating their characters, don't necessarily 'see' how they'd look together, whether they'd look balanced or like the Village People or not.

Thanks. :D I found it odd that of the five, she is meant to be the assassin, a racial trade, it seems. She's hardly stealthy ... lol. Lime green hair and 9 foot something ... So, I tried to portray her deadly confidence and nature with her stance and expression.

Thanks, Jules, JC, and Byte. :D Between focusing on the individual characters, the color balance, the compositional balance, and the merging of dynamic cloths with conforming closes (and not making the conforming clothes look like plastic against the dynamics), it look me longer than I expected, but the client is happy with it ... which the most important part. Now it's just the waiting on her approval of the cover design. She didn't like the first text set-up I submitted, so I had to re-group. As soon as we have a winner, I'll post the completed cover. Thanks for all of the support, everyone. :D
