I think it's probably due time to post some information about myself for those few that might be interested :)
I've been excited about photography for as long as I can remember - never seriously though. Â I took several darkroom classes at summer camps, had a few point-n-shoot film camera as a kid and teen, finally graduated to a Nikon N80 SLR when I had the opportunity to take a highschool trip to Spain for the summer. Â I took many rolls of film on that trip - as well as a trip to Alaska a couple years later. Â But I had never been passionate (or focused) enough to take up the hobby seriously. Â Until recently...
That sounds much more dramatic than it is :) The simple truth is that I am currently in a very "left-minded" occupation and I was desperately seeking a more creative outlet. Â So for the time being I make the most of my little Nikon CoolPix S220 (with postwork in GIMP) and my old Nikon SLR. I'm also interested in men's jewelry and custom wood furniture and decor.
In the future I'd like to graduate to a DSLR (Pentax K-5) as well as experiment further with film photography by way of the older "plastic box" (Holga, Diana, etc...) type cameras which seem to be seeing a bit of an urban revolution. Â I'd also like to do some pin-hole imaging work. Â I'm a big believer in learning from the ground up - so these very basic forms of photography really appeal to me.
I found Renderosity completely by chance - searching for an online forum of like-minded artists. Â I thank all of you that stop by to comment on and/or critique my work. Â I truly enjoy all of your work and hope to add to this community at least as much as what I can gain from it.
Tahnk You! :)
