There is something to be said about minimalist art - so clean looking in an unobtrusive way, but still fascinating in it's simplicity ... those warm brown shades make this a winner, Nikolay BB

I never commented on this, but it's a small masterpiece. You've placed a photograph onto a 3-pieced paper, 'framed' on top & bottom almost the way the old Chinese silk paintings were. (Ie, where the backings have many layers that overlap & frame the actual painting itself.) And, in the center frame, not only the beautiful bold strokes of an overhanging branch---very Oriental---but you have the faintest hints of a 'scene' back there, with what appears to be a boat, water, fog, some trees, maybe mountains, and maybe just some abstract forms, even thumbprints, which mingle with the whole. The creases in the paper meld beautifully, you left crease-detail in the upper & lower panes, and it even looks like you imitated the old Oriental "seal" in that orange-ish squiggle in the right bottom of the center-image. I don't know what that is---I actually used a magnifying glass on it, lol!---but it really reminds me of the Oriental seal, which was used sometimes all over a silk painting, and blended in as part of the art. Beautiful, reverent to the tradition you evoke by your title, and a wonderful work of art in its own right. And as is so common to your work, utterly intuitive & 'right'. Again, Nikolay, I wish you so much strength & comfort on your journey, and to your loved ones as well. I know it goes on, and I haven't forgotten. I'll let you know I haven't, too. Much light your way. And thanks for bringing so much light to us.
