Description
This posting was shot on the same evening as My last two posting. I believe this is a Nacreous Cloud. At first I thought it to be A Circumhorizontal arc. But in reading about them the sun has to be high in the sky. So in reading further I came across Nacreous Clouds. A Nacreous cloud occurs within 2 hours of sunset or Dawn.They occur in the lower regions of the Stratosphere some 9 to 16 miles high.(15 to 25 Km). They are so bright after sunset or before dawn because at those heights they are still sunlit. They are caused by ice crystals that refract light much like a prism giving the colors of the rainbow. last year I seen many here, but they were more isolated than yours.these are quite hug and show the colors so well

Spectacular Bob...good research info. I used to teach weather to include clouds to people learning to fly but never got into anything at this altitude...not many Cessnas or Pipers flying this high:) P.S. sorry I've been missing your uploads...all my ebots for favorite artists stopped back on Feb 14th and after lots of work with Renderosity Admin, I still don't have them back. I can work around it but having ebots has always been my way to keep up.
