Description

"See here, Jonathan," said his father, not unkindly. "Winter isn't far away. Boats will be few, and the surface fish will be swimming deep. If you must study, then study food, and how to get it. This flying business is all very well, but you can't eat a glide, you know. Don't you forget that the reason you fly is to eat" ~JLS aim is not to nourish them. it's more about survival, therefore feeding them junk food from the Aldi supermarket. and yeah, feel a bit bad about that... but also an $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ issue... (if I'd start to toss fish heads :-( around, think I would make lots of friends! among neighbours in particular!!! ;-D) @Andrew, who said: So are you saying that homeopathic treatments could have saved her? YES! altho nothing's ever promised, ever... (with no remedy w.s.ever, either allo- or .....) it was gas, bloating. vets even tried to make holes in her intestines to have the gas come out! :-((( but they couldn't 'reach' it, ('end-of-horror-story'). everyone with horses or rabbits, pls hear me? -in the hope never to have use for it!!!- remedy is carbo vegetabilis (D6 or D8/4), homeo carcoal that is. we mix that with nux vomica D6. c.tell u dosage (horses is twice human dose, but frequency is crucial). every 15 min. for starters. petroselinum D6 may test as well on rare occassions. if the gas is in the stomach you may also need cantharis D6 to open up the pylorus. (allopathic w.b. metaclopramide! pref. adm. by syringe. stupid vets usually don't know that either). if there happens to be par. ileus or peristaltics are too slow, opium D6, sacred stuff! if obstipation is the cause, you treat that (too) of course. homeo trick is FREQUENCY. if ness. every 10 min. a sip, on life or ..... can be xtremely hard work, but seen the 'miracle' happen numerous times!!! the other (allo-!) option w.b. simethicone/dimethicone, an inert substance. is in gas relief formulas (for babies). trick is to find stuff that doesn't have all sorts of extra, 'other' bad ingredients (can't stress the last enough). we used to have 'good' stuff for humans, peppermint flavour, doh. but no longer available. once 'our' vet called how to treat a rabbit with gas and told her to use that. she saved the rabbit!!! :-D we've imported baby formulas from the US in the past for our angoraclub. more details, like massage, moving, (reiki lol -reiki master here-), puls. magnetic fields if you happen to have those systems -we do-, and sips of water! as always- prevention will aways be your best friend. ahem ;-D

Another great shot of a boy and a gull. In relation to feeding bread. This is taken from the RSPB. All types of bread are acceptable to birds, but ideally it should only be just one component in a varied diet. Bread does not contain the necessary protein and fat birds need from their diet, and so it can act as an empty filler. Although bread isn't harmful to birds, try not to offer it in large quantities, since its nutritional value is relatively low. A bird that is on a diet of predominantly, or only bread, can suffer from serious vitamin deficiencies, or starve. Only put out an amount of bread that birds will eat in a day. Food left on the ground overnight can attract rats. Soaked bread is more easily ingested than stale dry bread, and brown bread is better than white. Crumbled bread is suitable in small quantities, but moisten if it is very dry. During the breeding season, crumble the bread into tiny pieces so that it is only eaten by the adult birds. Dry chunks of bread will choke baby birds, and a chick on a diet of bread may not develop into a healthy fledgling.

yeah, THX... give tiny little pieces of bread to the duckies n such pref. throw it into the water (even if they are standing on my feet ;-D) every now & then throw some 'fat balls' on the garage roof for the gulls & jackdaws the 'garden' birdies, incl. occ. visits by magpies, woodpeckers, LOVE peanut butter! ;-D full of protein :-D and are fed with fat, peanuts & seed mix & millet apples & raisins (organic! ;-)) for the blackbirds & sparrows majorty?? of people in the Netherlands are feeding the small birds but the big ones are hungry too? !! they are welcome to come down to our garden for some assorti?! but they don't... the jackdaws do
