Description
When we visit my son & his family in Portland, we sleep on the lower level. From this window, whose bottom is level with the ground in the backyard, we can look out on their garden, which is quite lush year round & full of edible goodies during the summer & fall.
My daughter-in-law is a landscape designer & teaches classes in sustainable gardening & related subjects. She also has done a lot of volunteer work for her community, including coordinating the establishment of a food demonstration garden at City Hall in Portland, all of whose output is donated to people in need. Can you tell that I'm proud of her? If you happen to live in Portland & are in need of gardening or landscape services, please visit her website. Peaceful Gardens.

I love the mood of this. I know just what it's like in a downstairs room like that ... our house is set into a hill ... and you've captured all the peace and beauty of being at least partially underground. Wonderful image!

Here I could hide well when bugs me the hustle and bustle of Berlin. But I'm a city rat, and I would not stand long LOL Fine capture!
