Before the local SDF succumbed to the Nano-Phage they patrolled the streets in their Glaive MGP suits... fortunately for the pupils of Tokyo High one of the units was stationed right outside the gates... after the plague struck and wiped out many of the inhabitants of Neo-Tokyo much rioting and looting broke out as the survivors formed gangs many led by the Yakuza... Tokyo High was a prime target for attack... Hitomi Yamada's father was an ex-Glaive pilot and had taught her the basics of piloting the MGP... when the time came Hitomi took the controls of the X-32 Glaive-G affectionately named 'Wellington' and defended the school from several of these gangs...
