Description
This is Louie. Isn't he beautiful? He is the latest addition to our household and has been vaccinated and cropped.
This has been an eventful year for all that it is still only February. Of most concern are two family health issues. My sister Leslie's cancer has worsened. She is taking new medication and is incredibly brave as she has been throughout her illness. My husband, Bill, is also on new medication for his Hepatitis C, which he has been fighting for many years. He is coming up to a crucial time when we will see if he is to be among the 60% who are cured by this new drug. He has been very brave these long years too. All good vibes, wishes, and prayers will be gratefully received.
I have been having some discomfort due to an ovarian cyst. Because of my family history, tests were done to rule out cancer, and I am grateful to be able to say that, as of last Thursday, it has been ruled out. I am now on a wait and see status. And finally from the worrying to the simply irritating, my husband was hit by a probably drunk driver as he sat in his truck at a red light. Thankfully, Bill is fine. The truck was totaled.
Life always gives you good with the bad, and next month I will be going to the wedding of my niece, Amanda, in New Orleans. I'll be spending a week there with Leslie and seeing a lot of my family, including my son James, who I haven't seen in over a year. :)

What a great face! He reminds me so much of my old buddy Dusty. It's that look in the eyes and that knowing grin that says, "I'm smarter than you are". I can just hear him purring through the screen. You are such a wonderful person for taking him in. All my best wishes for your husband, it sounds like that odds are in his favour but I will be thinking about him. Sorry he lost the truck though, I lost a car to a drunk driver as well. Fortunately, no one was in it at the time but I know how frustrating these things can be. I had just paid it off too.

Louie seems to be presently 'The Little Ray Of Sunshine' here, and just what the Doctor ordered - what a charming looking character, let's hope he can brighten every-body's days - animals do understand, you know? ... I'm so sad to read of all the inflicted pain, on you and your families health, throughout the year, it doesn't seem fair - it never does! My thoughts are with you all of you Lucinda, I don't know how to pray - but I do know one thing, "After Winter - Spring will always follow" and hopefully this will also apply to all the general health issues you are experiencing. WOW! He is so pretty and adorable, Lucinda. I am so sorry you and your family have been hit so badly by sicknesses. It really sounds like many dark clouds are hanging over you. I sincerely hope and wish, a healthy wind soon will blow all the black clouds far away and give you light and health back to you and your family. It is time for that now. It sounds like your family has really seen it all lately Lucinda, and thank you for taking the time to update us. Sorry to hear about Leslie not doing so well and I'll continue to keep her in my prayers. Will also pray that the new medication can help cure your husband as it sounds like he has had a long battle himself. And of course you are always in my prayers as you are such a wonderful friend to so many and somehow manage to face everything that life throws at you in such a positive manner. Finally let me say that Louie is adorable and will make a fine addition to your family.

Sometimes the cat listening what we tell my Beatiful . When did things and would mean that the time is not there he hears us. Very sad this accident and it still terrible cancer.
