UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Love the stump almost dead centre behind the ferns. It almost looks like the many photos of bigfoot you see people pushing on the Internet, on the display it looks like he could be standing beside the tree and a bit behind the ferns. I'm sure the larger images show more detail and lose the mystic quality, but that was my first impression of it. Lovely shot.

This is a brilliant B&W Bill, full of light and texture.

Lovely. Hey I think I can see Marilyn! Nope maybe it's a squid....no it's just a tree!

OOO! If you go down to the woods today...I can't see a single teddybear. Superb and most unusual pic.

Beautiful & mysterious b&w scene. I get a sense of sinister foreboding from it, maybe like something out of Twin Peaks or Blair Witch Project? Are those patches of clover? Any chance you'd post a color version of this?
helanker
Such a beautiful place. Yes, woods are lovely :)
T.Rex
Sinister. Foreboding. T.Rex hiding behind the stump in the middle, waiting to pounce on his next meal! "Primeaval forest! Yes. Yes! YES! My HOME sweet home!" - T.Rex. Redwoods? Or...? Can't quite tell with bl/w, but the bark suggets it. Reminds me of the old bl/w photos from a century ago. Nice job. If you're standing, the fallen tree gives an indication of the size of these trees. There seem to be strange paths going from tree to tree. Tourists? I clearly recall a walk amongst trees like this in Yosemite Park. So quiet and awesome. Keep up the good work. :-)

Sasquatch territory. Terrific POV, clarity and sunless woodsy ambience in this arboreal capture, Bill.
