Sometimes the simple compositions are so satisfying. One thing I'm curious about for an experiment for you. I, for one, never was a fan of the 'ambient' setting in textures because it almost always made my images look less real. I'm curious to how your pic would look without any material ambiance turned on. I turn it off in 99% of the materials used unless there is a particular reason for it. Makes things 'pop' more IMHO. Just a thought to see what would happen with this composition. Regardless, I really like this work.

Great piece! - Now that I have reverted back to Snow Leopard I can run Bryce 7 again... Cannot say the same for Daz Studio 4 though which continues to be a virtuañ ñemon on both Snow Leo and Lion,,, Cannot change the viewport layout on Snow Leopard... Daz just locks up!!! Can't stand the default layout! Given that the ship is Boolean modeling I reckon this must have taken a while,,, worth the effort!
