Description
"Rein and Fanta"
Angora had asked me to post an image of my mare (Rein) who has since passed. Standing beside Rein is her Appy filly foal (Fanta) who was born in late June of that year (a long ways away from the January 1 date most breeders strive for). Her breeding wasn't intentional on our part however I will say both she and the visiting Grand Champion Appy stud who broke several fences to get to her, both had smiles on their faces when we finally got them separated.
She was one of the many horses we had. But she was special and when she had to be put down she was laid to rest under the two big fir trees where she liked to stand and whinney. Hummm probably trying to get the attention of some visiting stud come to think of it.
I took this photo when I was doing just point and shoots with 127 film camera. And I'm not great at scanning it seems ...lol.

Oh, I love horses. With Rein and the stallion, it was probably love at first sight. The result is certainly great. Fanta looks really wonderful! Too bad that is Rein dead. Great photo!

Hey Bruce - sometimes the focus is not the most important part of the photo. I can tell by your narrative that the photo is an important memory and that my friend is the best part of an old photo and a great photo at that.
