Hi there! My name is Victoria, and I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California (but live elsewhere now). I first became interested in computer graphics some time circa 1995 when my dad gave me this CD package of some new, up-and-coming computer software at the time which included Aldus Photostyler and KAI PowerTools. I went home that day and created some silly little piece and after that I was totally hooked. A few years later a friend introduced me to Photoshop, and it was love at first sight. Since then I have been teaching myself all things Photoshop. About two years ago I came across an ad in a magazine for DAZ Studio. I had always been a little intimidated by 3D graphics, thinking it was way too hard to do, but I decided to give it a shot anyways. Now I'm equally obsessed (if not more so) with all things 3D as well.Â
My art is a mixture of DAZ Studio, Poser, Photoshop CS5 and Filter Forge. My other tools of the trade include Hexagon, Silo, ZBrush and Vue, and I also do black & white digital photography and photo restoration on the side. I am a huge fan of classic artists like Salvador Dali, Calder and Leonardo da Vinci, but am also strongly influenced and inspired by the works of contemporaries like Jack Pedota, David Ho, Luis Royo, Olivia and many of my fellow Renderosity artists who continue to inspire me on a daily basis.
I have several college degrees including a BA in English Writing, a BA in Anthropology, and an MS in Evolutionary Ecology (a subdiscipline of Anthropology).I think my ultimate goal with my graphics - what I really hope to get out of all of this - is to create something truly beautiful one day that either someone will deeply appreciate in their heart or that will inspire someone to create something beautiful. Thanks for stopping by . . . and happy rendering!V.

Sorry to hear about Davy Jones :( Nice image... Nice Title.

Cheer up Sleepy Jean, oh what can it mean.... Take the last train to clarsville, now I must hang up the phone..... Now I'm a Believer, I couldn't leave her if I tried...I wanna hold your hand, walk along the sand, laughing in the sun, always having fun... I'm gonna buy me a dog, a dog, a dog... cause I need a friend now.....Hey hey we're the Monkees!!! I watched in saterday morning... when Cartoons were only on Saturday.... When the Monkees came on you knew the good cartoons were over - lol I watch the monkees in a sleeping bag on the front room floor... I'd have my friends spenc the night and we'd wake up at the crack of dawn, scooby doo, superfriends, lance link, hong kong fewy.... Peter was my favorite Monkee, he was always acting goofy.... Davy was only 66... I would of thought he was older... William Shatner is 80.... I heard Davy even did a concert this last weekend.... Having him die a bit of my child hood dies.... I'm 48 and have been feeling older than a half a century - hearing Davy was only 66 makes me feel a little younger.... the Monkees was my first 12 inch record - I still have it today.

This is very sad news for me too. And I agree with mikeerson, a bit of childhood is gone....Hopefully he is in a better place...

Awwwwwww Let me get her a nice cuppa coffee.... I'll get one, too, and we can both remember fondly the good ol' days watchin' the Monkees.... Yeah, that's too sad about Davy. If you're a dork, Vic, I'm one too - lots of fond memories watching the Monkees - always loved that show! Like Mike said - yet another tiny bit of childhood.... This is wonderful - our lovely G4 looks so pensive and dreamy. This whole scene looks very dreamlike - I just love it on all levels! Great job on this, Victoria - glad you're enjoying the hair, I had a blast creating those colors! :-D Definitley LOVE your textures - I'd love to play with it! :-D Thank you so much for the Dedi, hon, and for bringing back some wonderful memories! 10,000 Stars!

Nice pic, very sweet and properly evocative of the emotion. And I guess I'm a dork too - a nearly-50 year old at that - as explained here: http://bardofthelesserboulevards.yolasite.com/blog/rip-davy-jones

If you're a dork, I'm a dork. I loved that show and though Davy wasn't my fave the whole show was just such fun slapstick and to my mind at the time great music. Wake up Sleepy Genie, oh what can it mean.... I can still remember that song almost word for word, and Last Train to Clarksville, what teenybopper girly wouldn't fall for that one, LOL. I think I still have a vinyl of theirs in my collection... along with an original Cream... ah yes, Eric Clapton,.. yum. This is a beautiful tribute; nice to see Davey as he was and the body language and look is perfect for this.

Beautiful render! Of course with The Girl it's hard to go wrong. I grew up watching The Monkeys as well. It's sad to see the passing of so many icons from our youth. Thanks for the render, and bringing back some fond memories!
